Support Poles and Fixings

• Support poles are supplied in mild steel with a galvanised finish as standard. A polyester powder coated finish in standard RAL colours is also available.
• Pressure formed timber
• Fixings are zinc plated mild steel or marine grade 316 stainless steel.

Foundations

On structures larger than 4.3m (14') in span, it is essential to have the foundation tubes anchored firmly in concrete. The volume of concrete required to set foundation tubes increases proportionally to the span size of the structure, we can advise the volume and specification of ballast accordingly.

Post Types

As the structures increase in size, larger diameter posts must be used for increased strength. As standard, most tunnels are supplied with round tubes. Sometimes we use twinned round tubes. On larger multispans we can use round tubes but for additional strength rectangular or square section posts are substituted.
